In the latest Nintendo Fun Club episode, we do something a little bit different and spend some time talking to some very special guests involved in putting together an incredible art show completely inspired by video games. John sits down with Kirk, John, and Raven from Rockford Art.Cade to discuss “Backwards Compatible,” the second video game art show put on by the group. Topics include participating artists, inspiring games, and a giant foam-core portrait of Reggie Fils-Aime's face fashioned out of arcade tokens. After talking the art show for the first 30 minutes, the crew discusses some of their favorite classic games as well as some of the more modern stuff they've been playing.
If you’re in the midwest and can make it out, “Backwards Compatible” is happening on October 4th and 5th in downtown Rockford, IL. If you’re not close enough to make it out, check back here and the Rockford Art.Cade Facebook page for coverage. These guys are super knowledgable about games and experienced podcasters, so whether you're able to make the show or not, there is plenty here to enjoy.
